Our Mission

The Schools

Vietnam

Tien Tien, Phu Chu Province

The Tien Tien Junior High School currently has over 100 graduates attending university in Hanoi, quite an achievement for a region where, prior to the construction of the school, many of the children had no option but to finish their education at the end of their primary years.

Sierra Leone

Kamakwie

Children in the Kamakwie Region spend most of their days searching of food and shelter, and are continually exposed to violence and exploitation.

Sierra Leone is rated as one of the poorest countries in the world. Many children are orphaned and displaced due to the brutal civil war, which raged for ten years. They are in desperate need of support.

Cambodia

Klic Village, Ratanakiri Province

Bryn’s School 3 is a primary school located in Northern Cambodia, and stands as pride of place in the small village of Klic. Alongside the formal classrooms we have also developed community literacy programs, a vegetable garden, orchard and a chicken run.

Kenya

Kager

Bryn’s School 4 is a three-room school, built in Kagar, Kenya. The school provides an education to over 70 kids who live in the adjoining orphanage.

Our ongoing commitment to the school has seen us construct a small dairy complex, a vegetable garden and also a library in a bid to assist the community to becoming self-sufficienct. We continue to support this school via the ongoing provision of uniforms and books.

Cambodia

Koung Tonle Kroum, Prey Veng Province

When we heard that in Koung Tonle Kroum over 200 kids a year were missing out on the opportunity to advance to secondary school, Bryn’s School stepped in.

The school we built has provided children in the local community the opportunity to attend a secondary school for the very first time in their lives.

Southern Sudan

Bor Town

A 15-year old girl in Sudan is more likely to die from childbirth than she is to receive a primary education.

Our most ambitious project to date, we are working with a group of local refugee women from Sudan (www.baaiborwomen.org.au) whose great wish it is to improve the lives of girls and women in Bor Town, Southern Sudan.

Cambodia

Tuy Tom, Ratanakiri Province

When we heard that in Koung Tonle Kroum over 200 kids a year were missing out on the opportunity to advance to secondary school, Bryn’s School stepped in.

The school we built has provided children in the local community the opportunity to attend a secondary school for the very first time in their lives.

India

Chowati, South of Kolkuta

India has recently signalled the implementation of a new
education policy which will see a greater number of children access education.

This a radical change to the Indian education systems.
